  • Waupaca County Fairest of the Fair Contest Rules

  • The contest is open to individuals who have been a resident of Waupaca County for at least one year prior to entry. The only exception: Contestant may reside in an adjoining county if majority of fair and/or school activities are in Waupaca County.
    • Contestant must be 18 years of age as of January 1 of the year of the county contest.
    • Contestant may not have been convicted of a felony act.
    • Contestant must be available for county-wide travel various times throughout the year and is responsible for their transportation. Contestant must have a valid Wisconsin drivers license with a good driving record.
    • The time, manner, and method of judging will be decided by the Fairest of the Fair Committee of the Waupaca County Fair Board. The decision of the judges is final.
    • Contestant agrees that if selected as the Fairest of the Fair, they shall not sign a management contract with any individual or corporation and will not give any written or verbal endorsements; or make a personal appearance for an mercantile commodity or commercial organization; or permit any photographs to be used for commercial purposes without permission of the Fairest of the Fair Committee.
    • Contestant may be an entrant for only one county or district fair contest per year. Contestant may compete at the county level until selected as the Waupaca County Fairest of the Fair.
    • Contestant will make numerous appearances and do media interviews throughout the year as a traveling representative of the Waupaca County Fair. The Waupaca County Fair Board Fairest of the Fair Committee is not responsible to provide a companion while traveling for this position.
    • The Waupaca County Fair Board reserves the right to decide if each applicant meets the requested standards.
